How to take care of your baseball bat in cold conditions?

I live in Boston and as everyone knows it gets cold and stays cold for a while. I just got a new baseball bat and I want to make sure it doesn’t get dents or crackes due to the fact that it is below 60 degrees when I use it. Does anyone have any methods I could use to try and prevent or eliminate the chances for damaging my bat while I am using it in cold weather?

I’d use the old bat in cold weather. Some of the companies ask for a description of how it was damaged and if they find you used it when it was under an adequate temperature, they aren’t gonna give you a replacement. I definitely wouldn’t use it in BP once it’s broken in.
