Baseball Catchers Mitts
Why can I hear the baseball hit the catcher’s mitt but cannot hear the batter talking to the umpire or catcher?
On TV I can hear the ball hit the mitt and tha bat hit the ball but nothing else from their area.
The pop of the glove is much louder. It’s also why you can hear the ump make out and strike calls but not hear the conversations between ump, catcher and hitter.
And, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some technology involved because they wouldn’t want their microphones to pick up all the curse words being used.
