What would you do – it’s announced the two scoreboard operators at Wrigley Field are out sick?
The Wrigley Field scoreboard is manually operated. The Cubs do not have trained substitutes. Without workers changing scores for the Cubs and out of town games inning by inning, you won’t know what is going on in baseball while you’re watching a Cubs game. Would you leave? Would you buy a program and keep score yourself? Should the game be postponed?
Trust me – it ain’t rocket science. About 10 minutes and pretty much anyone from the grounds crew could learn how to put signs into a hole.
And if that didn’t work out, I’d volunteer my services. I’ve always wanted to do it anyway.
