What are some weight training workouts that can improve my baseball skills?

What different types can help strengthen my arm? how often should i do it? and what are some workouts that i need to stay away from?

I play Short and Pitcher

Go light weights with high reps. dont do bench press or military press type excercises or you will put too much stress on your shoulders. leave those exercises for football players who never have to raise their arms above their heads. Google search rotator cuff exercises. Those helped me to avoid nagging shoulder pain for the last 2 seasons. Someone said legs and core type exercises and that is good. Lunges will help you with your driving off of the mound. Suicides are pretty good for infielders and distance running will help with you pitching stamina. also dont forget to throw long as much as you can and hit the cages when you can…Good Luck.
