What would you do – it’s announced the two scoreboard operators at Wrigley Field are out sick?
The Wrigley Field scoreboard is manually operated. The Cubs do not have trained substitutes. Without workers changing scores for the Cubs and out of town games inning by inning, you won’t know what is going on in baseball while you’re watching a Cubs game. Would you leave? Would you buy a program and keep score yourself? Should the game be postponed?
Trust me – it ain’t rocket science. About 10 minutes and pretty much anyone from the grounds crew could learn how to put signs into a hole.
And if that didn’t work out, I’d volunteer my services. I’ve always wanted to do it anyway.

Can anyone recommend a good baseball training program?
I just finished playing High School baseball and am now in summer ball. I play in a league which plays about 4 games per week. I also play tournaments. I need a good training plan for off days and game days. Can anyone recommend anything?
I also play about 3 days a week. I usually trade off each day between strength and running exercises it works for me also throw a few batting cage or bullpen (if you pitch) practices if possible.

Baseball training and conditioning for a teenager?
I’m about to turn 15 about 5’8 and 117 lbs and I’ve been playing baseball for a awhile and I want to know any training methods that will improve my play. For example, should I go to the gym? lift weights? how long should I run? or any special exercises that won’t hurt me or stunt my growth.
I would do all of those. Just stay away from steroids!
