Im going on a baseball skills development camp and i need to know how i should manage myself while im there?

Okay, so im 16 years old and im going to a baseball skills development program in the carribean, in hopes of some day making it into the MLB. Im in fairly good shape but but the kids at there development program are in amazing shape. For warmup they run 10 laps around a baseball field followed by stretching and sprints. Basically i will be training in 40 degree Celsius weather from 4-12 am 7 days a week for 2 months. I was wondering what i should do when i get there to help ease myself into the intense training. also since i will be sweating all the time in this heat about how many cups of water should i drink a day? Finally how should i pace myself to get used to all the running and the heat when im there? Any other tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

Have you actually played baseball in any league in your life?

If so, you should know what basic skills are and ways of developing them.

If you are doing this as a lark, you will waste your money and time and probably not survive the first round. How do you know what shape you are in unless you are involved in some type of exercise program.

You sound like a fish out of water. Baseball, when played at a high level of skill, demands total commitment from a player.

It doesn’t sound to me like you want it that much.

Anyway, good luck.
